We would like to share with you the exciting news of our daughter Reina Jae Jorkowski. She was born on Monday (8/7/2019). Weight 2313g and height 44cm
Unfortunately, she was born prematurely at 34 weeks 5 days. I experienced a prelabour rupture of my membranes the week before and naturally went into labour on Monday. I had a natural vaginal birth lasting 4 hours.
Reina is in the neonatal unit at the LGH. She is doing very well and gaining weight. She is feeding well on the breast already tolerating breast milk top ups via an NG tube.
Unfortunately, we were not able to follow our birth plan but I did find what I learn during calm birth helpful remaining calm during my hospitalization after my waters broke.
